About CD / TG CROSS DRESSING SERVICES
just another day as deborah - a fabulous out in public shopping trip. - and hoping you do it also.
Today is Saturday January 20th - time about 10 am - weather here in Florida is kinda cold for us at about 498 degrees - with a slight wind. It's a PERFECT day to go out in public and be dressed in all my female clothes. It is surely a "fantasy " trip into the real world and show everyone how beautiful females can look like - like they did years ago before baggy legings and loose tee shirts were the norm - wearing no make up - and short hair. I have done my female makeup with a nice semi casual kind of look - and certainly no one will know I am a male - that's how confident I feel and look. Deborah today is 5 ' 9 "tall - weights a slim 140 pouinds - and her female measurements are 38 D / 32 / 36 - so I think making an attractive figure.I wish to blend into society as a female - and do my best to look sexy - without drawing much attention. Today I just wish to " pass " as a female, integrate in public places - get a meal in a nice restaurant - walk around an open space mall - go shopping into stores - check out all the various female fashion areas - like lingerie, dresses, leggings etc. - and hopefully purchase some nice new female clothes. So now to get ready for my exciting adventure. My make up is done - it is time to decide what to wear - and get dressed up. I start off with dark off black Legg's pantyhose - then a black andf red garter belt - pull on and attach thigh high stockings. I also insert my silicone hip pads - to give me a more curvy female look. Next comes the bra - and fill it with my silicone breast inserts. Next comes the dress - a black and white polka dot knee length dress, low cut on top - and a little flared below the waist. Next comes my tight above knee black boots with small 2-3 inch heels - and then add a nice necklace - several rings on fingers - and with a bracelet on each wrist. Next my female hair - a long curly blonde wig - I think looking very feminine and sexy. Finally - I am almost ready to leave - I make sure my large black shoulder purse is filled with everything I might need - car keys, some cosmetics to touch up makeup later, personal ID's, and credit cards.
DEBORAH is now ready to leave home - feeling so excited and confident about herself, and so looking forward to the day ahead. So later when I return home in about 5 hours - I will tell you ALL about my trip - as Deborah.
CONTINUED - DEBBIE AT THE MALL ADVENTURE
So here I am now back at home at our Sierra Studios after my " female shopping trip - still all dressed up as Deborah Nicole - and looking back at the incredible time I had - out in public wearing female fashions - and looking and feeling as feminine as any real woman might feel. As I started my trip - enterted my car - I looked down at my saw my breasts and the cleavage pouring out of the dress top - as realistic as any woman would look like. I saw my legs covered in stockings just above my knee high boots. I could feel my long blonde hair hanging down the back of my dress. I just felt so feminine - and a little " excited " as all that might be ahead of me. As I drove along the Interstate highway I could feel other car and truck drivers looking down inside my car - and seeing and hopefully admiring just a sexy female going about her business. Soon I was parking my car outside a large busy mall - and knew immediatly this mall was going to be filled with hundreds of other people. Once inside the mall I could sense others checking me out - and wondered what they were seeing and if I was being checked out as a male wearing a dress - and looking like any other female. I looked around and saw other females dressed in leggings - with no makeup - as casual as they could look. And here I was - looking like a real female - but dressed as sexy as any woman could look. I could sense that the men were just checking me out - how I was dressed - and admiring all they were seeing. I knew everyone was accepting me as a female - and any attention I was getting was only because of how pretty I looked. - and so dressed different from other women in the mall. I decide t go to a nice restaurant - Cheesecake Factory - went with a hostess to a table - soon a waitress was askiing for a drink and lunch order. There were no issues - honestly I thought they were serving just another woman. I enjoyed the tuna salad - no steak for me this time - too masculine. Nerxt I walked into the main mall - found a Macy's store - went straight to the lingerie area - and checked out al the panties and bras - so beautiful. Next the dresses - and found a nice red maxi long dress - - then went back to the bra section and found a strapless white bra to match the dress. Again checked out with no incidents. Next went to Forever 21 - then to Dillards where I bought a few cosmetics, I felt so wonderful just walking around the mall - and knowing many men and females were checking me out - since I just looked different dressed in my boots, pretty dress, - with my breasts showing clearly I was a female - with the cleavage no one could think any different. Then I went to a sports bar - sat at the main bar - crossed my legs making sure everyone could see the long legs covered with pantyhose. I admit I felt so sexy, so beautiful - so fabulous as a female - a few guys gave me a smile - and all with second looks. One guy moved from a nearby booth - came and sat down beside me at the bar - he just said " hi - and ordered his own drink. Soon I was leaving and began to make my way back to the parking lot and my car - carring my purse and several large bags filled with mu purchases. I could feel the wind blowing up under my dress - and against my stockings - and yes - it felt so wonerful. And soon I was back home - out of the car - and inside my home. I remember saying to myself " how I love being a woman " - several times - checking myself out against a tell mirror - and yes - I did look so sexy and fabulous as a woman - dressed in these sexy fashions. Soon I teried on the new bra and the dress I had bought - it looked great on me. Later I changed into a black neglegee - and began to relax - and remembering all the time I was at the mall.
All I can say to ALL of you reading this BLOG - is that dressing alone privately is a lot of fun - but going out as a woman into public places is a thrill every CD sould experience and enjoy. Once you have done it - you will never look back - and you will look forward to the next time you go public again - dressed in completely different clothes each time. I think next time for me will be wearing skin tight leggings - thigh high 4" heel boots - a very low cut blouse - and as a brunette with much more erotic dark sultry makeup.
So hope you enjoyed readingf about my adventure - and I cant wait until next weekend when I get to do it all over again.

You’ve only got this one life, and it’s nothing to be ashamed of. What are you waiting for?
“Stepping out into a public place can be humiliating, just knowing yourself that most people observing you will notice that you are really a man and not a cis woman.”
That’s an excerpt from a post I recently read, written by a member of my transgender support group, the River City Gems. It’s referencing the difficulty that emerging transwomen sometimes have with going out in public, dressed in femme mode, and presenting as women.
I’d like to contribute my somewhat different opinion on this observation, a point of view derived from having lived full-time as a transwoman since June 2016.
It’s actually been a little longer than that. I started shopping for groceries, clothes, and going to movies and restaurants in full femme mode in March 2016, right after the River City Gems “Femme Friday” dinner that month.
I left that event wearing a knit skirt, a very pretty, lace-trimmed purple and lavender knit blouse, 3" espadrille wedge sandals, and a medium length wig. On the way home, I stopped at a Wal-Mart and spent two hours wandering the store, so deep in the “Pink Fog” — that feeling of euphoric happiness that many newly emerging transwomen exist in — that it’s amazing I didn’t drown.
This was my first time alone in public, en femme, and no one looked askance at me. At checkout, the cashier actually complimented my nails, which I had just had done — a full set of acrylics — that afternoon.
If you read my last piece, “Do you feel Gay?”, you might know that I am in no way “passable.” I’m 6'-2" tall in flats, I weigh 300 pounds, and I have an unmistakably male baritone voice. There’s nothing I can really do to change any of my physical attributes (except that I could lose the excess weight, of course). But I would still be too tall, too broad-shouldered, and just overall too “bulky” to ever pass as a born-female woman.
Yet, I still live every day as I am. I have to interact with strangers at every turn, every time I go anywhere or do anything in public. Knowing how big I am and how rough I look (see the recent photo of me at the end), it’s hard for me to believe, but I hardly ever get misgendered. And when I do, it’s usually by someone with an obviously foreign accent, which leads me to assume they’re from a country or culture in which gender pronouns are different, or not as clearly defined as they are in American English. Anyway, when I do get misgendered under these circumstances, it usually doesn’t feel malicious or transphobic.
The point I am trying to make is that I disagree somewhat with the statement quoted above, in that I don’t think most strangers observing me are clocking me as trans, or as a “man in a dress.” Even when I do get read as trans by random strangers, they seem more likely to either ignore the fact that I am transgender, or to see it as being irrelevant. I think most people (at least adults) are far too busy with their own concerns to bother with harassing strangers — even transgender ones.
In these three years that I have been living full-time as a transwoman, every time that I have been clocked and approached, it has been to share something nice; often, they have a family member or friend who is trans, or I get complimented on my nails or my outfit, or they ask where I bought my handbag.
These are positive interactions, in other words. They are not sneers, ugly laughs, or transphobic insults or threats.
In three years of living “out,” I have been laughed at once by a teenage girl in a grocery store, and glared at once by an elderly woman in a shopping mall — I assume she clocked me and didn’t like it that I am transgender. Or maybe she thought I was a “man in a dress.” That’s it, just two bad experiences out of many hundreds of interactions with people I encountered who didn’t know me.
Men hold doors open for me, I’m usually addressed as “ma’am”, and when I drop in at Lane Bryant or Torrid to look at the latest offerings, I get treated exactly the same as any other customer. In fact, sometimes I get the impression that the sales associates at these stores are in fact clocking me as trans, and that they’re actively going out of their way to make me feel extra-welcome in their stores.
I’ve often thought that maybe employees of these stores receive diversity training. Or, maybe it’s just that women in general are better able to accept the validity of LGBTQ community members — transwomen, in particular — than are men, for various reasons of culture and human nature.
I’ve been saying this for years, but it bears repeating: you don’t have to be afraid to go out in public presenting as a transwoman. At least here, in Sacramento, California, it’s safe enough. I wouldn’t do something patently stupid like shoving my way into a biker bar and shouting “Hey! I’m transgender! Anyone here got an issue with that?” But I’ve found that if you just dress conservatively, and in age-appropriate fashion, you can have a wonderful time being trans-femme in public.
“I stopped at a Wal-Mart and spent two hours wandering the store, so deep in the ‘Pink Fog’ — that feeling of euphoric happiness that many newly emerging transwomen exist in — that it’s amazing I didn’t drown.”
That said, if you’re going out in public en femme, and you’re trying to avoid being clocked, then I do suggest the following:
1. Shave off (or cover up) obvious body hair.
You can’t go out en femme, in public, with your arms and legs looking like you borrowed them from a grizzly bear, and a forest of chest hair peeking up through the neckline of your clothing, and expect this to be ignored. If you have a lot of arm hair, you should at least wear long sleeves. I’m aware of the fact that, for many of you, shaving off your body hair is not something you can do, for a variety of reasons, but you can at least make sure it isn’t showing.
2. If you’re past age 50, go easy on the makeup.
If you look around at random ciswomen, for example in a shopping mall, restaurant, or supermarket, you won’t see many older women wearing glam makeup. And especially not for something like a casual dinner, going to a movie, or grocery shopping. In doing your makeup, “less is more.” You want to look nice, but not “made up,” especially in daytime. This was one of the most difficult things I had to learn about being a woman, especially one going through a second puberty at age 60.
3. For heaven’s sake, if you are past age 50, or significantly overweight, please “just say no” to mini skirts, 7" heels, and fishnets.
If you wear a dress or a skirt, it should at least be knee-length, or mid-calf if you can stand to wear a skirt that long in this hot summer weather. Save your inner teenager for Halloween parties; you’ll attract less unwanted attention if you dress your age for going out to dinner, taking in a movie, or pushing a trolley around a grocery store.
4. If you wear breast forms, try for the middle ground on sizing them: a “C” cup.
Huge breast forms will draw a lot of attention to you, and you want to be as unremarkable as possible if you are trying to avoid being clocked. I rarely wear forms at all anymore, even though I am only an “A” cup, and I’m unlikely to ever grow any more breast tissue at my age, no matter how much estradiol I take. I hardly have any boobs at all, which is not typical for a woman with my body mass index, but I figure I am less noticeable this way than if I wore size 14 forms, which weigh nearly 9 pounds a pair and would give me a “D” cup size. Plus, it’s a lot more comfortable — silicone breast forms in summer weather are miserably hot and sweaty.
Also, beware of cheap silicone forms. They don’t hold up very well. If you paid less than about $170 for a pair of medium-size forms, you got poor-quality forms that will likely break down in less than 3 years, even with only occasional wear on weekends.
The best quality breast forms I’ve ever owned are from Amoena. They are mastectomy forms for breast cancer patients, and while they are very expensive, you get forms that will hold up to daily wear for many years.
5. Avoid overly long or unnaturally “bright” colored wigs.
They draw attention to you. Most women over age 50 wear their hair no more than shoulder length. Save the long, beautiful hair for major holiday events or parties. If your wig says “age 25” but a close look at your face or hands says “age 60,” you’re going to get clocked if you haven’t already been.
Here’s another tip: spend the bucks and get real human hair. It is much easier to care for than Kanekelon acrylic fiber, and it can be shampooed and conditioned with the same products you use on your own hair. It also doesn’t kink as badly when you comb it out. You’ll pay 2 to 3 times more than you will for a synthetic wig, but you’ll find it much easier to care for and keep in good condition.
6. Less jewelry is better than a lot.
If you should happen to fall into a swimming pool, you probably don’t want to be so loaded down with necklaces and bracelets that you get dragged to the bottom and drowned.
7. Most important of all: Attitude.
You must believe in yourself, own who you are as a transgender woman, and project for all the world to see that you have every right to be out in public en femme.
Itis my personal belief that, whether you are part-time, as are most of my transwomen friends in the River City Gems, or full-time like myself, we are all equally transgender women. I can’t figure any other explanation for why we all do what we do, i.e., go out in public en femme, march in Trans parades, attend Pride festivals.
Considering the relentless social pressure that is placed on male children and teenagers in our society to “man up,” ask yourself: what force could drive a guy to go out in public dressed in women’s clothing, a long wig, makeup and breast forms, and to go by a woman’s name?
That force has a name: gender dysphoria. And it’s powerful enough to drive about 45% of trans kids that are in unsupportive families to attempt suicide at some point in their lives.
If you are AMAB (assigned male at birth) but identity as female, I submit that there is something in every one of us, an “inner girl” if you will, that has been crying for release since we were kids. She will never go away on her own, at least not permanently. There’s no medicine you can take to erase gender dysphoria, except for the estrogen and testosterone blockers, and the components of hormone replacement therapy that most transgender women will eventually undergo.
So own yourself! Own your trans-ness fully, and be happy with who you are. Put on your “girl” clothes and go out to lunch at a favorite restaurant, then head for the mall and browse to your heart’s content. Go to Lane Bryant and ask for a bra fitting. The sales associate is probably going to know you’re trans, and she won’t care! She will respect that you are in her store asking for help, and she will respect you for having the courage to be there. Go into Torrid, pick out a cute bathing suit and try it on. At 5:00pm, head for a restaurant and have dinner, and you’ll still have time to take in a movie afterwards.
If you are too apprehensive to try this yourself, alone, then put together a GNO, and go out with some friends.
“There is something in every one of us, an ‘inner girl’ if you will, that has been crying for release since we were kids. She will never go away on her own, at least not permanently.
Owning yourself means accepting that your identity as a transwoman is just as valid as that of any ciswoman who was born “assigned female.” Your womanhood is just as valid, even if you are part-time and you can only release your inner girl for few hours a month. Owning and accepting this will induce the change in attitude I’m talking about here: you will cease being apprehensive, feeling “guilty,” or thinking that everyone else in the place is staring at you.
I have news for you: no one is looking at you, except for maybe some small children; I have actually been asked a couple of times by curious 4-year-olds “are you a boy or a girl?” I always answer “I’m a girl, but I have a deep voice, and I’m taller than most other girls.” At age 4, kids aren’t usually ready to absorb the more truthful — but vastly more complicated — details of who transgender women actually are, and how we got to be the way we are.
Anyway, I digress, so back to owning yourself:
You’ll relax and enjoy your girl time more fully, and you’ll have a lot more fun. You’ll walk tall and proud to be who you are. You’ll actively seek out store clerks, and ask for that bra fitting, with a sparkle in your eye and a smile of happy anticipation on your face. You will come to regard nail salon appointments as all-too-brief periods of ultimate relaxation and fun, even if you can only indulge in them a couple times a year.
You have absolutely no obligation to feel guilty, or imagine yourself to be an object of ridicule when you go out in public presenting as a woman. I submit that “transwomen arewomen, full stop.”
A lot of people would argue with me on this point, especially if the disagreement involves part-time vs full-time life, or having gender re-assignment surgery vs no surgery, but I believe that whatever it was that led us all to expressing in accordance with our gender identity in the first place is the same thing, whether an individual part-time cross-dresser does or does not eventually transition to full-time and legally change name and gender.
For some of us, our gender dysphoria was more severe than for others. If our circumstances allowed it, we transitioned, especially when that was the only thing we could do to find peace and happiness in our lives. Most part-time cross-dressers won’t ever be driven to transition. For some, having deep emotional support from their spouses and other family members is enough.
But that all of us in the trans-femme community are “transwomen” (or bi-gender in the case of a few of us), and that we are all here because of medically diagnosable gender dysphoria, I have no doubt. We are not crazy. We are not transgender because we were bored with our lives as men and were looking for a “lifestyle” change.
Your happiness is important, and it affects every aspect of your life. Unhappy people suffer more illnesses, are less productive at work, their marriages don’t work as well as they might, and their kids suffer, too. In this one aspect of your life — your gender identity — I am trying to put it out there that you don’t have to be unhappy. You can indulge your inner girl out in public a few hours a month, safely, even if you are not considering full-time transition.
We are not crazy. We are not transgender because we were bored with our lives as men and were looking for a “lifestyle” change.
You’ve only got this one life, and if for some unknown reason your body anatomy, your spirit, and your gender identity don’t all synchronize “perfectly,” that’s nothing to be ashamed of. It isn’t “your fault” or “your choice” that you were born transgender, and no one should want you to have to suffer for it.
I think that in some ways, being transgender is an extraordinary gift; born as males, we are being given a glimpse into both the external and internal lives of “the other half.” So be yourself in joy.
If being a transwoman is to have a soul made from a framework of rats and snails and puppy-dog tails, layered with an admixture of sugar, spice, and everything nice, like sheetrock on the 2x4’s in the walls of your house, then so be it. Live in joy however you can, and take pride in being fully who you are, in every aspect of your life. (And by all means, try on a really cute one-piece women’s bathing suit sometime, if you haven’t already; they feel really nice!)
Hugs!

What does it mean to be a woman? Our appearance isn’t always determined by our chromosomes. Some men have typically feminine traits, and some women have masculine features, too. Our gender is made up of a variety of beliefs, characteristics, and behaviors.[1] Passing as a woman doesn’t just involve wearing makeup and stockings. There is a complex set of traits to keep in mind as well. For individuals assigned male at birth, blending in as a woman may feel like a challenging endeavor. Whether you're transgender or just having fun, this article can help you embrace your feminine side.[2]
Part1Adjusting Your Appearance
1Take time to decide what type of woman you want to look like. This greatly influences the other steps. How old are you? What is your body type? What kind of style do you want? Envision the woman you will become. You can be classy, provocative, trendy, or even angelic. What you want to look like will change over time, and outfit choices vary from day to day.[3]
Remember to dress for the occasion and take your daily life into account. If you will be passing as a woman on a regular basis and work in a professional environment, provocative or flashy clothing will not be appropriate. If you’re going out clubbing, wearing more revealing clothes is fine.
If you’re passing as a woman for a party or special event, feel free to go all out. Be over the top in your clothing choices.
Use your close female friends looks for fashion inspiration.
2Jump in the shower to get started. Showering is the first step in most grooming rituals. So much is done in the shower, including shaving, washing your hair, and getting generally clean. Traditionally, females are known for having smooth skin, clean and shiny hair, and a clean body, so take your time.
Invest in shampoo and conditioner that smell nice and fresh.
Scrub down with a loofah and body wash to exfoliate your skin and leave it clean and smooth.
3Shave your face if you prefer a smooth look. Use a new razor and take your time. Also, be gentle; you don't want to irritate your skin. Using plenty of shaving cream and razors with three or more blades will keep razor burn to a minimum. If you really want to keep stubble away, you can try waxing, electrolysis, or even permanent laser hair removal, but consult with a professional first.
Buy quality razors to shave with since cheap razors can irritate your skin.
If you'd like, you can shave your entire body, too. You might go through multiple razor blades, so keep extra on hand.
For more sensitive areas like your belly or armpits, avoid using too many strokes. Instead, use a few long, even strokes against the grain of the hair.
Use moisturizer after shaving to soothe freshly shaven skin.
4Pluck your eyebrows to soften your face. Women generally have thinner eyebrows than men. Remove stray hairs by plucking them firmly from their roots. For highly stylized brows, you may want to seek a professional, but plucking eyebrows can easily be done at home.
The start of your brows should be about one inch above the inner corner of your eye.[4] Remove the strays in between.
The end of your brows should be about one inch above the outer corner of your eye.[5] Pluck any stray hairs that come after this edge.
Pluck hairs from under the brows until a natural arch-shape is achieved. The arch should peak above the outer rim of your eye.[6] Remove stray hairs along the bottom of your eyebrow’s arch. Do this part the slowest, and be sure your brows are parallel in thickness.
It is natural for the skin on your face to become red and sometimes swollen after plucking. This will quickly fade.
5Clean, trim, and manicure your nails. Though getting clean nails generally happens in the shower but could require you to use a nail cleaner to remove dirt and grime. Use a nail board to file down uneven edges of your nails.
Paint your nails if you desire. Clear polish is always classy, but there is a world of options. If you’re trying to be sassy, pick out a bright red or neon color; if you want a more subtle color, stick with nude shades like beige or silver.
Get a manicure if you have a large amount of hangnails, stubborn grime, or unsightly callouses. A professional manicurist can cut, buff, and paint your nails for you.
6Style your hair. A simple head of clean hair is all you really need to pass as a woman, but curly, coarse, and long hair require more work. In general, make sure your hair is brushed thoroughly and use styling products if it is overly frizzy or unruly.
Going to a salon can be helpful. A good stylist can tell you not only what's in style but what will look good on you. They can also recommend products for your hair type. Have an idea of what you want, but be open to input as well.
Keep your hairstyles simple unless you’re experienced in working with hair. There are hundreds of articles and YouTube tutorials about easy hairstyles.
Practice different styles well in advanced of any event. There is nothing more stressful than trying a new hairdo on a deadline!
If you’ll be passing as a woman for an extended period of time, grow your hair to the length you desire.
Buying a wig is also a good idea. Wigs come in a variety of cuts, colors, textures, and lengths, so you can find a wig that fits your style.[7]
7Apply your foundation to even out your skin tone. Foundation helps to cover up any blemishes and will mask a five-o-clock shadow (if that's what you want to do). Find a cover-up and/or liquid foundation that closely matches your skin tone, plus a matching powder to "set" the make-up, making it look naturally feminine.
Visit beauty stores that provide help from makeup professionals to point you in the right direction. This is very important if you’ve never used foundation before. They will let you know what brand works best with your skin and budget.
If you’re shopping online, read the reviews before purchasing foundation. Look into which offer full coverage.
Use a moisturizer and primer before applying the foundation. The rest of your makeup will go on much easier and look better. Use your fingers or an applicator to blend the foundation so there's no clear line between makeup and skin.
8Experiment with makeup looks if you want to. Decide if you want a full or natural look, but either way, don't overdo it. You don't want to appear clownish. Lipstick, blush, eye-shadow, eyeliner, and mascara are all options for you to use.
If you want a more natural look, a bit of mascara and some eyeliner should suffice.
For a fuller look, apply eyeliner, eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick, too.
The temptation to overdo makeup is common for most beginners. Remember to tailor your makeup to the occasion. Keep it classy, and you'll pass.
Applying makeup is already difficult for women; be patient and ask friends for help. You’ll get the hang of it.

Part2Dressing in Feminine Clothing
1Pick an outfit that makes you feel good about yourself. Dressing like a woman involves planning your look from head to toe, beginning with your top or dress. The color choice will vary depending on your personal style. If you’re going for a business look, choose more neutral colors, but if you’re going for a night out clubbing, go for bright colors and patterns. Also, choosing a top or dress that flatters your figure is important.
Choose a top or dress that best suits your frame. Plunging necklines draw attention from broad shoulders, so these are often good choices for passing as a woman. Knowing your body and working with it is essential to passing.
If you are more full-figured and have a larger midsection, don’t get a shirt that shows your belly.[8] Fabrics that stretch like polyester can be very comfortable.
If your arms are very bulky, consider using a shawl to cover them when wearing sleeveless outfits.
Corsets, gaffs, breast forms, and other specialized bodyshapers are also available.
2Choose flattering bottoms. Thinner individuals will have an easier time finding flattering jeans, for example, and a full skirt will accentuate curves nicely. Multiple trips to several stores may be necessary for you to find the right bottoms. Be wary of purchasing pants or skirts online, as sizing can be difficult to predict.
Start with a skirt with empire waist, which is a great choice to begin with. These look good on narrow hips and flatter bottoms.
Go shopping with a female friend to get a second opinion.
Consider learning to tuck and tape if that makes you feel more feminine and empowered.
3Pick out cute accessories. There are tons of pretty accessories on the market today, including rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and hair decorations. Try to tailor accessories to the outfit you’re wearing.
Matching is a good idea. For example, if you’re wearing a green skirt and a white top, put a white flower in your hair or wear a green bracelet.
Don’t wear too many accessories. Wearing three accessories at a time is more than enough.
Jewelry can get expensive, but stores often have more affordable items alongside the more pricey ones.
4Select shoes. Your shoes should be comfortable but still stylish. Women don't always wear heels, so you don't have to punish your feet. Flats may look better for because men are normally taller than women, so wearing heels could make you tower over others. Once again, think about the occasion. If you’re going to be walking a lot or on your feet all day, heels will not be comfortable.
Heels make your leg muscles tense, so they can make them seem more bulky. This is especially true if your legs are already very toned.
Ballet flats are affordable and come in an array of colors and patterns.
If you do get heels, wearing them around the house can help you become used to walking in them.
5Reflect on your look. Stand in front of a full-length mirror and turn around so you can see yourself from every angle. Decide if there is any part of your outfit that looks unfashionable or unflattering. If there is, change! Give yourself about an extra half hour to get ready just in case you need to do any last minute changes.
Part3Adopting Feminine Behaviors
1Get in touch with your feminine side. Watching movies and reading books centered on strong female characters will help you understand these traits even better. Remember that overall, women are known for being gentle and caring.
One of the easiest ways to understand feminine traits is to spend time around ladies. Drum up your female friends and set up a book club, wine night, or other weekly time to hang out.
Empathize with others and be sensitive to those around you. Try to be accepting and assertive in a gentle way.
2Work on making graceful movements. Improve your posture, and realize that feminine gestures, even slight ones, are very important. It is well-known that women often gesture while speaking, which adds femininity and personality to any conversation.[9] Note the gestures and facial expressions of the women around you and try to imitate how they move.
Try to make smaller, more graceful movements as opposed to big steps and heavy gestures. This will help you move with ease.
Standing up straight will also give you poise and will make your body appear more feminine.
3Practice speaking in a higher voice if you'd like to. Women's voices tend not only to be higher pitched, but also more melodic. Women tend to take on the vocal patterns of those they spend a lot of time with, so find a female friend to emulate.
Be active! The best practice is talking to real people in public situations. This will help your progress, so don’t be shy or embarrassed.
There are also tapes, articles, and the guides available on the web. Spend a few hours on the internet researching practice methods.

For a man to go out dressed a woman or dressed in women’s clothing is very daunting thing to do. Once the fear factor has been met head on, then the ultimate reward outweighs the worries and concerns about the experience.
Most crossdresser’s dream are about finally going out in public and showing the general public how beautiful they look and be proud of who they truly are. Some don’t want to go out in public and just rather stay safe at home away from prying eyes and negative feedback.
It took me a long time to go out in public fully dressed as a woman and I was constantly changing my mind and felt guilty, saying to myself that I was not allowed to do it and not good enough. To be honest the general public are too busy in their own life’s to worry about what anyone else is doing or wearing in their life’s. You only live once so live your own life and be the real you and you might even start to love yourself one day soon.
Of course, you will get the haters, the negative people, the judgemental ones that no matter what you wear, even if it’s male clothing or unisex items, they will always have something to say to knock your confidence and make you feel unworthy.
Don’t let them get to you, you ignore them or just smile and carry on with your experience and don’t let them see that you are upset or angry. If you react it can get nasty and you may put yourself in a bad situation, just walk on and surround yourself with people that understand what you are and don’t judge what you wear or how you look and act.
There are support groups out there that help answer the many questions that we all think about and help push the negative thoughts and feelings to one side and stay positive and keep living your other life as the real you. Roanyer has loads of fantastic articles and stunning realistic products to help any man become the woman of his dreams.
Once you get everything you need to go out fully dressed as a woman in public, spend some private time to get your personal look as stunning as possible, once you start loving yourself then you will discover certain people like you will like or even love you too. Going out is a massive achievement to overcome, but once you do it and get used to doing it, well you will realise what all the worry and fuss was about. Yes, it’s difficult for most people and most people won’t ever go out fully dressed, it’s up to your own confidence. All I say about going out make sure you watch yourself to remain safe, don’t get into any unnecessary confrontations and carry spare underwear in your handbag in case of any emergencies.
From my own personal experience once you are out in public, you will be so nervous and feel like everyone is looking at you. That is normal for the first time but you should embrace that feeling and be proud of who you are showing yourself off to the general public. Not everyone is going to agree with what you are wearing, make sure that you dress decent and cover important areas up. Either show off your stunning smooth bare legs or legs in nice tights or wear a long skirt and show off your lovely collarbone and smooth chest area. Hold your head up high and walk with confidence, wearing heels that are comfortable to walk in or just go high as possible as long as you can walk in them safely. You don’t want to fall over and hurt yourself and put things back. Practice walking in your heels up quiet country roads and walk like a woman. There are a few articles on Roanyer that give you advice on waking like a woman in heels and what type to wear.
The more you do go out dressed as a lovely woman the more you will find it easier but always be on your guard, as some people can be nasty and that’s their opinion. Also know that you have the right to wear whatever you want and there is no law against it and you are not harming anyone.
Enjoy the experience and take things in easy steps and go to places that you feel comfortable with and smile and be happy as your real self. You don’t even have to have any clothes on show, even wearing a nice pair of panties under your man clothing is quite exhilarating and personal, as only you know that you are wearing them, unless you bend over to tie your shoelace. Just be happy as the real you and don’t be ashamed of who you are, because you are special x

Indeed, we live in a world that’s plagued with discrimination or prejudice against people who fall outside the “norm.” Some people judge and ostracize others when they don’t meet their subjectively normalcy thresholds; unfortunately, we crossdressers more than often fall under the excluded group. And so my question is, do you feel judged? Are you afraid to transform into your feminine self because of the locals’ perceptions? Did you ever travel somewhere and felt unwelcome or out of place?
If you answered yes, don’t worry, I got you covered. Below is a list of 11 crossdresser friendly cities in the world where you can escape and have all the fun in the world. Apart from the well-known London, Sao Paulo, and Amsterdam, I have included other hotspots for your choosing.
My goal is to help you travel with ease. And find a little paradise even if it’s only during the Summer holiday. So, read on and start selecting!
If you ask anybody what their favorite Pride event is, they will almost certainly choose São Paulo’s Pride. Why? It is the best crossdresser destination in South America. My partner would certainly say so.
Yes, I know I am oversimplifying a little, but the fact is that São Paulo likely has the highest number of transgender travelers because it holds the world’s largest pride march.
Its pride parade attracts over four million people camping on Paulista Avenue’s main promenade and neighboring streets.
Nightclubs offer a diverse range of entertainment, including drag and male striptease. There, you can put on your favorite leggings or skirt and rock the night.
2. San Francisco, USA
San Francisco is most likely America’s drag queen capital. Its transgender community is among the world’s most prominent and most visible.
The metropolis by the Bay has long been a global hub for crossdresser nightlife, art, and politics. It has Castro, one of the country’s earliest communities.
Castro is what they famously call “a drag queen Disneyland.” Here, you can dress in whichever crazy outfit you want. You can put on your makeup and wig, wear your heels and rock the streets; no one will be eyeballing you!
San Francisco also has more partying than you can think of. Both day and night events rock! It should definitely be on your travel list.
3. Tel Aviv, Israel
Tel Aviv, located along the beautiful Mediterranean Sea and nicknamed the “City that Never Sleeps,” is recognized for its seashores, nightlife, and crossdresser community: It is the ideal tourist hotspot for our kind!
The city is expansive, liberal, and inviting, in stark contrast to some of Israel’s and the neighboring region’s more conservative and restricted cities.
It ranks among the most crossdresser-friendly cities on the planet. It welcomes tourists with open arms while also providing a haven by offering tour packages, hotels, and Pride week celebrations.
Did you know, 25% of the city’s population falls under the LGBT+ category? That means total freedom and tolerance for us crossdressers.
4. Amsterdam, Netherlands
Being the first country in the world to make significant strides towards acceptance and tolerance, the Netherlands has a solid link to members of the crossdressers.
Its capital, Amsterdam, often called the gateway to Europe, has a dynamic crossdresser culture and serves all fetishes and appetites.
It’s worth noting that the crossdressing scene goes far beyond Amsterdam, including saunas, bars, and cinemas in numerous Dutch metropolises, including Amersfoort, Rotterdam, Groningen, and The Hague.
Still, Amsterdam tops them all with vibrant pride events that have full participation from the locals, including politicians. So far, the largest canal parade is the Pride Amsterdam that allegedly attracts more than 350,000 every year during the summer holidays.
5. Madrid, Spain
Imagine yourself sipping cava with your significant other on a patio in Madrid!
Despite the growth of anti-LGBT+ political groups, Spain is among the most culturally open countries for crossdressers.
Crossdressing themes are frequently explored in Spanish literature, music, and film. The country provides a broad and hospitable scene for all drag queens, especially Madrid.
Nevertheless, while doing my research, I was pretty taken aback after finding that Madrid is predominantly Catholic. We’ve got to give the city and the country, in general, some props for being quite tolerant as a profoundly religious region—based on the latest Pew Research poll, I found out that 90% of people are tolerant.
Each year, the city attracts close to 2 million people for its gay pride, known as Orgullo.

6. London, UK
If I could, I would place London on top of my list since it has one of the best crossdresser scenes in the world, having a variety of gay villages in different parts.
However, it might not be an excellent choice for a short-term traveler looking to sunbathe and party during the long summer nights. Still, if you’re looking to

However, it might not be an excellent choice for a short-term traveler looking to sunbathe and party during the long summer nights. Still, if you’re looking to find a supportive community, it is the best place to go.
The city hosts London Pride in July, which has consistently attracted over 1.5 million people over the years.
In 2012, the Pride event coincided with the Olympic Games and the WorldPride. The event was a blast.
7. New York City, USA
New York City – home to the very first Pride march, Stonewall, and the inspiration for the modern progressive movement — is recognized as a sanctuary and cultural center years after the Stonewall Inn protests of 1969 began the activist group.
It has a vibrant and lively crossdresser community with many distinct facets. There are a plethora of pubs and clubs to select from, ranging from muscle mary clubs to theatrical piano bars, tiny private bars to contemporary lounges.
The origins of the Pride event are in Greenwich Village, where the Stonewall protests on Christopher Street sparked our freedom. Hell’s Kitchen is the new crossdresser hotspot, with stylish pubs, restaurants, and clubs.
8. Toronto, Canada
Toronto is the world’s most crossdresser friendly city in the world. Unlike any other country I’ve visited, it goes above and beyond to welcome us, in my opinion.
Where else can you see a country’s leader leading a pride march, hoisting an LGBT+ flag, and shouting “Happy Pride”? The world saw Justin Trudeau do this when he attended the Fierte Pride March.
It boasts a vibrant transgender scene, equipped with a slew of events year-round. The prominent one is Toronto’s Church & Wellesley Village.
Toronto also hosts one of the world’s largest Pride celebrations, attracting about 1.5 million people each year.
I don’t know what it is about Toronto, but each time I visit, the atmosphere seems warmer—more welcoming. It’s a place where I can comfortably say you’ve got to stay!
9. Miami, USA
Miami receives over one million LGBTQ+ guests each year, and Miami Beach now has its own LGBTQ+ Visitor Center. And, while our cultural heritage continues to evolve, one thing remains constant: Miami adores members of our community.
Transgender clubs in Miami have been around since the 1930s and are known for having an active nightlife culture that is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, it was not until the late 1960s that the locals began to take the main stage.
During the “golden period,” pubs sprouted up all over town, and the first Pride week was held on Lincoln Road.
The crossdresser community in Miami is louder than ever.
The city also hosts some of the hottest drag queen-friendly events globally, including Aqua Girls and Sizzle South Beach.
10. Berlin, Germany
Berlin is a place so close to my heart. Unlike other cities in Europe, which often have a pretty restricted range for our spaces, this city has a diverse and expansive scene where members of our community can seek refuge.
I met my current partner in Berlin shortly after its former Mayor came out by saying – “Ich bin schwul – und das ist auch gut so!” which means “I am gay – and that’s a good thing!”
During the Cologne Carnival in February, we clicked straight away. We were particularly enchanted by the vibrant and highly dynamic gay nightlife.
Berlin also hosts the largest Pride march, which attracts more than 1 million people every year.
We visited the last event in 2019—before the coronavirus pandemic—, and I must admit, it was mind-blowing. People from all walks of life, races, and ethnic groups expressed themselves freely and just being in their element. I was particularly mind blown by the different types of outfits.
11. Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona has quickly become one of Europe’s most popular locations for crossdressers. As an open-minded and multicultural metropolitan area, the city provides its tourists with a plethora of attractions connected with diversity, freedom, and accessibility to all.
It has an abundance of cross-dresser-friendly pubs, shops, and restaurants. A walk through the alleys to see all the rainbow flags hoisted with pride from rooftops and in retail and bar openings is ideal for absorbing the mood of Barcelona’s gay culture.
And with that, I end the list. These are the safest, friendliest, and welcoming crossdresser cities in the world. Should you feel threatened, unsafe, or need to expand your horizon, start crossing them off your travel list. Do you know others that we can add?
Common Mistakes That Prevent Cross-Dressers From Achieving Their Full Potential
Common Mistakes That Prevent Cross-Dressers From Achieving Their Full Potential
Common Mistakes That Prevent Cross-Dressers From Achieving Their Full Potential
We may encounter several amateur mistakes in our crusade to look more feminine. These may prevent us from achieving our true potential as cross-dressers. They limit our chances of passing and have a negative effect on our self-esteem. The good thing is that they are simple enough to be solved by most of us, as long as we know what to do.
Here, I’ll talk about the most common mistakes that make us feel stuck. First, you must not guide yourself by unrealistic standards. What you have to do, is learn a few special techniques that can boost your experience. If that’s your case, I recommend reading this article since it shall serve as a guide for avoiding such mistakes.
This is a beginner’s mistake for sure. But to be fair, even experienced cross-dressers suffer due to this one. It is a big blow to our self-esteem and prevents us from feeling satisfied with our looks. Long exposure to these unrealistic standards can even cause depression and make us give up on cross-dressing. Pursuing this will not lead us anywhere and will make it impossible for us to achieve our true potential.
To avoid that, you must understand that women exist in many different sizes and shapes. There’s no such thing as “Not feminine enough.” Instead of looking at what the media tries to sell you as feminine, go out and look at real examples on the street. Use as goals women that realistically resemble your body type. Your shape can go through some changes via shapewear and all, but there are limits. If you aim at unrealistic standards, the results will be less believable.
2. Being confused with identitarianism
Once we start to cross-dress, we are overwhelmed by a mixture of feelings. We start to question gender boundaries and our own identities. The problem is that it sometimes confuses us to a certain degree. And as we tend to fear what we don’t understand, this situation may bring your journey to an early end. Some of us may fear “becoming trans” through cross-dressing. There’s no such thing. You are who you are, and there’s nothing wrong with it. Cross-dressing may help you find out more about your gender identity. And if you discover yourself to be trans, you have always been trans. Look at cross-dressing as an exploration activity rather than as something that will change your gender. All it does is help you understand who you are and always have been.
3. Not practicing enough
Practicing leads to perfection. Those of us who see it as a hobby may feel like we already know enough and that there’s no point in practicing. And this is a terrible mistake. There’s always something we can do better. There’s always something new to learn as well. If you stop practicing, you’ll soon see that your skills are becoming outdated and that your makeup is no longer as effective as you thought. You’ll also miss the new techniques cross-dressers are developing to make things easier and more convincing.
You must stay in touch with the hobby if you want to reach your full potential. The more you practice, the more effective your techniques will be. With time, it increases your passability and improves your overall experience. But if you don’t, you’ll be preventing yourself from enjoying the full cross-dressing experience. A good way to ensure you won’t lack practice is to dress up at least twice every month.
4. Buying the wrong size of clothes
This is also common among cross-dressers. Some of us might be used to men’s sizes when shopping for outfits, which is a beginner’s mistake. But some of the most experienced among us may buy stuff in the wrong size if they are not careful enough. We must count the different types of shapewear we use when checking size charts. A corset will take a couple of inches from your waist, while paddings will add some to your hips and butt. But breast forms in your chest make the most significant difference. Because of that, if you take measurements out of your naked body, you’ll be ordering the wrong size of clothes.
Wearing something that doesn’t fit is a problem, of course. Your clothes will look either too loose or bloated in certain areas. It is enough to ruin your outfit and prevent you from passing in most cases. Needless to say, you’ll only reach your full cross-dressing potential if your clothes fit you. So keep that in mind the next time you take your measurements. Include your cup size, compensate for shapewear, and check the female size charts, not the masculine ones.
5. Not shaving
Shaving is underestimated. Body hair is normal in women and all, but it’s much more common in men. Depending on how thick it is, it may give you away. Granted, you can hide it with stockings and other elaborate methods. But in the end, if you do that, you won’t be able to cross-dress in warmer weather with comfort. It will make your experience limited, such as your potential.
If you shave, on the other hand, your legs will look naturally slender and feminine. It allows you to experiment with a range of new revealing outfits and sheer hosiery. With the addition of creams, they will look extra feminine. If your concern is to justify shaving them, keep in mind that a shaven leg is as easy to hide as an unshaven one. Besides that, your body hair will grow back in a couple of weeks; it’s nothing permanent.
Many minor mistakes hold us back. If you want to be a passable cross-dresser, shining at your full potential, you must pay attention to these tips. With time, you’ll master each technique and become a professional if the term fits. But for now, it is important to avoid these mistakes if you want to get the most out of your cross-dressing experience. How often have you committed such mistakes? Leave a comment and tell us more about them!
Gender Studies 101: What Is Gender Really?
What Is the Actual Meaning of Cross-Dressing?
Common Mistakes That Prevent Cross-Dressers From Achieving Their Full Potential
So today we are going to discuss all things that can be interpreted when the word “gender” comes out. The different meanings and ramifications of the etymology. So you will have all the tools available to find yourself under the umbrella (or not!). Please, take a seat, class is about to start.
So today we are going to discuss all things that can be interpreted when the word “gender” comes out. The different meanings and ramifications of the etymology. So you will have all the tools available to find yourself under the umbrella (or not!). Please, take a seat, class is about to start.
The reason for all the discussions that arise when gender is mentioned in any conversation, is its ambiguous meaning. I say ambiguous for a lack of a better word. You’ll understand why in no time. This conflicting word encases many aspects which, generally, aren’t singled out during a conversation. That’s why addressing gender is such a sensitive topic and can heat things up with ease. Biological sex, gender, gender expression, identity, and sexuality. These are just some of all the different concepts that are seemingly referred to with the same six letters. So, let’s break it down into bits for a better analysis.
2. Biological Sex
Starting with the basics, biological sex refers to the gamete configuration in everyone’s DNA. Generally, this trait manifests with the respective sexual genitalia. An XY gamete configuration determines the female sex and an XX the male one. These two extremes are not mutually exclusive. There are instances in nature where an intersex configuration appears. The gamete configuration for this spectrum varies a lot. But it is documented in human beings. Despite how scientists or thinkers view sex, it is something written in our genes at the time of conception. Sex is a totally different concept from the gender that’s often used without distinction.
3. Cultural Gender or Gender Roles
Gender is how a person identifies. Be it woman, man, non-binary, trans, or the one you choose. Gender as a standalone concept is a human-made construct. In history, we can see many examples of how the roles and behaviors of the genders were changing. Like a tacit set of rules, these constructs defined the general structure of societies. Today, for instance, we relate the pink color with all things girly. Over a century ago, pink was actually a boy’s color! It was a diluted hue of red, a color associated with forcefulness and blood. On the other hand, blue (alluding to calm and serenity) was a girlish color. The same way goes for many other aspects of life that change throughout history. The gender roles define a set of “proper” behaviors and dress etiquette.
4. Gender Identity
With the previous concept of gender, we can define what gender identity is. Gender identity is how a person refers to itself. There are an infinite amount of possibilities under this umbrella. How you perceive yourself, has nothing to do with your assigned gender at birth. Your biological sex, that is. Being transgender means not feeling comfortable with the roles and stereotypes you are supposed to follow based on your sex. But in a wholesome manner. Where you are in this spectrum is a thing that only you can answer. Don’t worry if you don’t have it figured out! As we have seen, thinkers, philosophers, and societies have been trying and failing for a long time! You decide on however you feel most comfortable carrying out your life!
5. Gender Expression or Presentation
Gender expression refers to the mannerisms, and clothes, pronouns adopted by a person. It doesn’t have to match their gender identity. Gender expression refers mainly to the role the person assumes when in the presence of others. We know very well that there are a plethora of reasons why this may not match. The way a person acts or dresses is part of their gender expression. Then again, a different concept than the previous one. As a biological man can express or dress in a feminine manner, but still perceive himself as a man.
6. Sexuality or Attraction
The last idea that can get tangled up with the idea of gender is sexuality. And yes, the accepted sexual standards of societies have also changed through the course of history. Sexual attraction has to do with what gender expression arouses you. In short, for whom you feel sexually attracted. As we have seen before with the gender definition, the sexual attraction also opens up an umbrella of possibilities. There are many different terms to encase specific scenarios. If you are wondering how many there are, I dare you to search on your web browser and find out for yourself. But wait! Not before reading and commenting below on this article!
7. Gender in Grammar
Last but not least, there is another definition of gender that has little to do with everything we have discussed. If you are a bookworm like me, you know well that gender is a descriptive aspect of a noun. It defines the pronouns that are appropriate for writing. Even though it feels like we are assigning gender to objects, this relation is completely random in different languages. In fact, it can even vary within the same language across different local dialects.
These are the most common concepts that are globally encased under the word gender. Funny enough, it not only describes a rainbow of identities and expressions but also a lot of ideas! I hope that I have helped clear out some common misconceptions. Now you may be a little closer to finding your place within the spectrum! Take your time and know that only you can decide what will make you happy. So keep working towards that goal and be patient! Take care of yourselves, all of you!

When I started off as an MTF crossdresser, I wasn’t always as bold as I am today. I slowly crawled up through the different crossdressing stages to become a pro.
There are several stages/phases of crossdressing, especially for MTF crossdressers. The first stage is the awareness stage. Then we move to the denial stage. After that, we enter the exploration stage. Next comes the acceptance stage and then the integration phase. Finally, we reach the mastery stage.
All these stages manifest differently in different closet queens. In this blog, I’ll walk you through each of these stages so that you find out which stage you are going through.
Thats when you start to become aware of your crossdressing tendencies and feel drawn to it.
This is the first crossdressing stage for all closet queens. It’s the time when we start to realize that we’re different from other boys. We might see ourselves as girls trapped in boys’ bodies, or we might just feel a strong desire to dress up and look pretty.
During the awareness stage, we start to experiment with crossdressing. We might try on our sisters’ or mothers’ clothes, or we might buy some clothes of our own. We might even start to wear makeup and style our hair in feminine ways. This varies slightly from one MtF crossdresser to another.
This is a very exciting time as we begin to explore our femininity and notice our crossdressing tendencies. However, it can also be a confusing and scary time as we try to figure out who we are and what this means for our future.
○ How to handle this stage
The best way to handle the awareness stage is to simply go with the flow. Explore your femininity and crossdressing tendencies as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. There’s no need to rush into anything or make any big decisions right away.
If you’re feeling scared or confused, that’s normal! This is a big change in your life, and it can take some time to adjust. Talk to someone who understands what you’re going through, whether that’s a friend, family member, therapist, or other support system. They can offer guidance and support during this difficult time.
2. The denial phase
It’s when you go convincing yourself that you’re not really interested in dressing up like a woman
At this stage, we start convincing ourselves that we’re not really interested in dressing up like a woman. Maybe we’ve been caught wearing women’s clothing, or we’ve been thinking about it more and more, and it’s making us feel uncomfortable.
So we start to tell ourselves that it’s not really what we want, that we’re just curious or exploring our femininity. But the truth is, deep down, we know that this isn’t just a phase – it’s something we really want to do. We’re just scared of admitting it to ourselves or to others.
If you find yourself in this phase of denial, don’t worry – you’re not alone. It’s perfectly normal to feel scared or unsure about your crossdressing. But ultimately, you need to listen to your heart and do what’s right for you. Only you can decide whether or not crossdressing is something that you want to pursue.
○ How to deal with this stage
If you’re in the denial stage, it’s important to give yourself time to explore your feelings and figure out what you really want. There’s no rush to come out or make any decisions about your gender identity.
Talk to someone who supports you, like a friend or family member or a therapist who specializes in gender identity issues. They can help you sort through your feelings and figure out what’s best for you.
Remember, there’s no shame in being an MTF crossdresser. You are who you are, and you should be proud of that.
3. The exploration phase
looking for information and advice online and in-person.
At this stage, as novice closet queens, we start to look for information and advice online. This is the phase where we become more aware of our femininity and start to understand what it means to be a woman.
We read articles, join forums, and chat with other crossdressers. We might even buy our first piece of women’s clothing or accessory. We’re still tentative at this stage, but we’re slowly becoming more comfortable with the idea of dressing up.
This is also the phase where we start to experiment with makeup and hairstyles. We might try out different looks to see what suits us best. And we start to learn how to do our own makeup and style our hair.
At this stage, we’re also starting to think about how we can pass as a woman in public. We might start to experiment with voice training and mannerisms.
○ How to handle this phase
This is an exciting phase, but it can also be a bit overwhelming. There’s a lot of information out there, and it can be hard to know where to start. Here are a few tips for navigating the exploration phase:
Start with basics: Before you start diving into all the different aspects of crossdressing, it’s helpful to start with the basics. Read articles and books about crossdressing, and learn as much as you can about the subject.
Find a community: It can be helpful to find a community of other crossdressers that you can connect with. There are many online forums and chat rooms devoted to crossdressing, and these can be a great place to ask questions and get advice.
Experiment: Don’t be afraid to experiment with your look. Try out different hairstyles and makeup looks, and see what you like best. And don’t forget to have fun with it!
The exploration phase is an exciting time, and there’s so much to learn. But by taking things slowly and at your own pace, you’ll soon find yourself more comfortable with the idea of crossdressing. And before you know it, you’ll be ready to take the next step in your journey.
4. The acceptance phase
Realizing that crossdressing is something you want to do long-term.
At this stage, we already know being closet queens is our thing. We get a thrill from the secrecy, the “naughtiness” of it all. It feels freeing and exhilarating to let our feminine side out to play, even if it’s just for an hour or two at a time. But as we continue to explore our crossdressing desires, we eventually come to a point where we realize that this is something we want to do long-term.
This realization can be both exciting and scary. On one hand, we feel like we’ve finally found our true selves. On the other hand, we worry about what this means for the rest of our lives. Will we have to give up our careers? Our families? Our homes?
The answer varies for every crossdresser. Some of us will be able to live our lives relatively “out” as crossdressers, while the majority of us will need to keep it more hidden. But the important thing is that we’ve made the decision to accept ourselves for who we are and to pursue our crossdressing desires in a way that makes us happy.
Now it’s time to start planning our next steps. What kind of crossdresser do we want to be? How can we make sure that our crossdressing fits into the rest of our lives in a way that works for us? These are the challenges of the acceptance phase – and they’re ones that we’re excited to tackle!
5. The integration phase
Incorporating crossdressing into your everyday life.
This is where we take all that we’ve learned in the exploration and experimentation phases and start to integrate crossdressing into our lives on a more regular basis. For some crossdresser, this may mean dressing up once or twice a week; for others, it might mean wearing something feminine every day.
○ Few things to keep in mind during the integration phase
First, take your time. This isn’t a race, and there’s no need to rush into anything. Remember that you’re doing this for yourself and not for anyone else.
Second, be mindful of your surroundings. If you’re not comfortable coming out to everyone in your life as a crossdresser, that’s perfectly understandable. Just be careful about who you do reveal your secret to if you decide to.
Third, don’t be afraid to make mistakes. We all do, and it’s perfectly normal. Just learn from them and move on.
○ What does the integration phase look like?
Here are a few examples:
1) You might start wearing feminine clothing around the house on a regular basis. This could mean anything from wearing a skirt or dress while doing chores to putting on some makeup before going out to run errands.
2) You could begin experimenting with your hair and makeup, trying out new styles and looks.
3) You might start going out in public places dressed as your female self on few occasions. This could be anything from going to the grocery store to going out to eat with friends.
4) You could start living your life more fully as your female self. This might mean changing your name and pronouns.
Of course, there’s no one right way to do the integration phase. It’s different for one sister to the next, and you’ll figure out what works best for you as you go along. Just take your time, you’ll get there eventually!
6. The mastery phase
Becoming an expert at crossdressing and enjoying it more than ever.
Personally, I’m at this stage. This is where we become an expert at crossdressing. We know what looks good on us and what doesn’t. We can style our hair, do our makeup, pick the right clothes and accessories, and pass convincingly in public. We’ve also learned a lot about ourselves and our femininity along the way.
We enjoy crossdressing more than ever before, and it’s become a major part of our lives. For many of us, this is the happiest we’ve ever been. We’re finally living as our true selves, and we couldn’t be happier about it!
As an expert MTF crossdresser, I’ve gone through all the stages of crossdressing. As listed above, there are at least six stages of becoming an ideal closet queen. And how we handle each stage determines whether we become successful crossdressers or not. Always remember: there’s no shame in being a crossdresser. Embrace your femininity and be proud of who you are!

The term “Cross-dressing” is quite popular nowadays. But many people still have issues understanding this concept. It is indeed a broad definition, but it has a fixed meaning, not to be confused with other terms. It might not be as clear as we wanted it to be. Doubts lead to misconceptions and discrimination, so it’s essential to have a good understanding of these issues.
Well, cross-dressing means wearing clothes associated with the opposite gender, but it’s much more complex than that. It’s also important to know that cross-dressing doesn’t make you transgender and is not the same as drag. Here, I’ll discuss the peculiarities of each definition. So, if you want to master these concepts, stay tuned and keep reading!
According to the dictionary, the meaning of cross-dressing is “To wear clothes associated with the opposite sex.” Years ago, it used to be a synonym for “Transvestism,” which is now considered offensive, as it was used with a negative connotation. Some people still call themselves transvestites. But this is more associated with feminine gender identity and has a different meaning. Now, cross-dressing is a term that originated among the LGBTQ community some time ago and has a more positive tone.
It describes the act of defying gender norms by wearing clothes that, due to cultural reasons, are tied to a different gender expression. As such, it’s essential to notice that cross-dressers might or might not identify as part of the LGBTQ community, but I’ll explain that later. The vital thing you should understand is that this term is here to describe the act of wearing the outfits as mentioned earlier.
2. The motivation
There are many reasons for someone to cross-dress. The most common one is to express themselves. Others do that for entertainment purposes, disguises, and some sort of sexual satisfaction. But it can be something even more straightforward, such as liking some outfit designed for another gender expression. Each cross-dresser has a unique motivation, and this may be the broadest and most flexible aspect of cross-dressing.
But all of them are valid nonetheless, and each one finds its place in the community. Associating clothes with specific gender expressions or biological sex is a cultural thing. Therefore, cross-dressers might have different goals in different cultures. But generally speaking, people cross-dress because it’s something they enjoy.
3. Types of cross-dressers
If I am going to describe the aspects of cross-dressing, I must start by telling the most common types of cross-dressers. Allow me to begin by differentiating MtF and FtM cross-dressers. MtFs are men who dress up in outfits that women often use. These are generally dresses, skirts, and feminine underwear. In some cases, they also use makeup and wigs to complete the look.
FtMs, on the other hand, are women who dress up in clothes associated with men. But masculines clothes tend to be gender-neutral instead of gender-specific. Trousers and shirts can be worn by women without it counting as cross-dressing if they want. Because of that, MtF cross-dressers used to have more visibility since it was more obvious that they were, in fact, cross-dressing. Some gender-fluid and non-binary people may also identify as cross-dressers if they want to. They might use their gender identity or their biological sex as a reference.
4. Why is it different from being trans
I must add that a cross-dresser does not have to identify as someone of a gender different from the one assigned to them at birth. So, even though these concepts may overlap sometimes, cross-dressers are not necessarily transgender. A trans person is someone who identifies as something other than their assigned gender based on their biological sex. A trans woman, for example, might’ve been assigned as male when she was born. But she identifies herself as a woman and most likely wants to live like that 24/7. The chances are that she’s willing to have sex-reassignment surgeries and start hormone replacement therapy. All of that so she can live as who she is on the inside and deal with gender dysphoria. In other words, she feels uncomfortable in the body she was born with and the gender that was assigned to it. As such, calling a trans person a cross-dresser is somewhat disrespectful. It implies that you don’t see that person as being from the gender they identify as.
An MtF cross-dresser, on the other hand, does not have to identify as a woman. He can be a cisgender man who likes to wear woman’s clothes sometimes. But it doesn’t make him less of a man. He might be perfectly comfortable with both his body and genitals. Cross-dressing, for him, is most likely to be a hobby or something he does for fun. Cross-dressers rarely suffer from dysphoria. And are almost never willing to go through surgeries or hormonal treatments.
5. Are cross-dressers and Drag Queens the same?
The short answer is no. The long answer is not exactly. From a certain point of view, drag queen art can be seen as an extension of cross-dressing. Drag queens are female characters, generally portrayed by male artists, who cross-dress in order to do so. But drag refers to the art itself, which often includes singing or other performances. Even women and non-binary people can be drag queens, but men are the vast majority in the field. And because of that, most drag queens are cross-dressers.
Women who portray masculine drag personas are known as drag kings and are also cross-dressers. But if a woman portrays a drag queen, a female character, she is not cross-dressing. Drag makeup is also very unique, expressive, and even exaggerated. It is different from conventional cross-dressing makeup. With that in mind, we can state that not every cross-dresser is a drag queen. In fact, very few of them are. But the majority of drag queens are cross-dressers.
6. Am I gay if I cross-dress?
Cross-dressing does not make you gay by any means. Sexual orientation is different from gender expression or gender identity. You can dress up in very feminine clothes but still be straight. In fact, I’ve found out in a study that most cross-dressers are straight men. The study said that some of these men were trying to become “The object of their own desires.” That is, they dress up as a woman because they are so attracted to them that it becomes a fixation. But cross-dressers can have any sexual orientation. It includes straights, homosexuals, bisexuals, asexuals, and everyone else. That’s because the way you dress has nothing to do with your sexual orientation!
Think of cross-dressing as a hobby, something you do for fun. Your other hobbies do not interfere with your sexual orientation. They are something you do for fun and don’t have to be a way of life. Very few cross-dressers stay en femme 24/7, and many of those who do still like girls. Some people may use cross-dressing as a means of sexual satisfaction, but it still does not define their orientation. It is more of a kink than an actual sexual preference.
7. Who can be a cross-dresser?
Cross-dressing is a very inclusive activity. Anyone can do it! No matter your gender, age, or body type. If you feel like you want to try it, go ahead. You can dress up the way you want to, and you shouldn’t let beauty standards dictate your goals. As for the age limit, there’s none. No matter how old or how young you are, cross-dressing is for everyone. Young people have more chances to pass as the opposite gender since some of their gender-specific features haven’t developed yet. But passability isn’t mandatory for cross-dressing. People exist in many different shapes and sizes as well, and it should never prevent you from dressing up. You know, I used to think I was too chubby to cross-dress, but after I tried it for the first time, I saw that my negative thoughts were pure nonsense. All you have to do is adapt your goals and techniques to your body type. It helps if you base it on real people instead of the idealized bodies the media sells as “normal .”These standards are almost impossible to reach, and their only goal is to make you jealous.
As you can see, cross-dressing is a broad term that overlaps with some different definitions. But it is important to know what it means, so you don’t offend anyone by mistake. There are many different aspects of cross-dressing, which makes it a versatile experience. Because of that, anyone can be a cross-dresser, choosing some of its aspects to enjoy. In the end, it’s a matter of doing something you like and doing it your way. For short, we can say that cross-dressing is being true to your inner self, allowing a true expression of it. Gender is complicated, to say the least. And we, cross-dressers, live on the edge of the gender spectrum. Many of us are still discovering who we are. Gender is complicated, to say the least. And we, cross-dressers, live on the edge of the gender spectrum. Many of us are still discovering who we are. And what starts with cross-dressing can end up finding out we are trans. So, what do we do if we aren’t prepared to face the facts? Not being able to deal with it may lead to depression.
Once you find out about your gender, you must accept who you are. Do what you must to become your true self, but preserve your physical and mental integrity. In this article, I’ll give you tips on how to deal with that. So if you found yourself to be trans, give it a good read.
If you identify as a gender different from what you were assigned at birth, you’re transgender. And that is okay. You shouldn’t deny your own Identity; you must accept it sooner or later. But it doesn’t mean that there won’t be any challenges. It is pretty difficult for us to accept it right away, and it depends on many factors. For example, we all grow up believing that we must live up to expectations related to gender roles. If you are assigned male at birth, people will expect you to grow up as a boy. And they will try to make you comply, even if it’s indirect.
They will expect you to play football, to like girls, and be the “man of the house.” And denying years of expectations can be difficult. It is even harder to live in a conservative household with people who deny trans rights. But no matter how much people tell you that you’re not valid, you must not deny your nature to yourself. You are valid and worthy, and other people’s opinions don’t matter. You’re the only one who knows how you feel and shouldn’t let others dictate your Identity.
2. Come out gradually
Coming out is a massive step in the lives of trans people. It means you’ll be letting others know who you are. You’ll no longer have to pretend to be something you are not. But even so, I advise you to be careful and come out gradually. We can’t predict other people’s reactions to the news, so it’s good to be cautious. Some may treat us as if nothing has changed, while others may have a different attitude. Because of that, it’s normal to be afraid of coming out right away when we live with uncertainty. But if you come out with patience, things might be more manageable. Try, for example, to come out to a few select people who you know will support you. With time, you can come out to more people who will accept you while you figure out whether or not some others will do so as well.
A good way to start is to find some support groups online and come out to people there. It helps you get used to the idea and validates your Identity. After that, practice by coming out to a few friends and seeing how they react, but make sure you can trust them. And before you come out to everyone else, make sure you talk to your parents as well. However, if they’re transphobic, wait until you are more stable and independent. This way, all they can do is accept you for who you are.
3. Find a therapist
Therapy is essential in the lives of trans people, especially for those who just found out about their gender identity. It is, for short, a way to help you deal with past trauma from being misgendered and forced to live as something different from who you are on the inside. It is also important for those who want to get more familiar with their gender identity.
Discovering yourself to be trans brings a lot of confusion; it’s too much information sometimes. And a therapist is there to help you deal with all of that. It makes it easier for you to cope with the harsh reality of discrimination and bigotry and understand that none of that is your fault. This is also a way of gaining validation and preventing serious issues, such as severe dysphoria or even depression.
4. Dress up more often
You must keep in touch with your Identity. In the beginning, you might have seen cross-dressing as nothing more than a hobby. However, it was no longer enough after you understood that you were transgender. It is, after all, who you are on the inside that defines the exterior, not the opposite. You should spend more time dressed up and presenting as your true gender with that in mind.
If you’re a trans woman, put on makeup for the whole day and use wigs until your hair pleases you. If you’re a trans man, get a new haircut and practice with binders. If you feel like you can’t do that yet, practice at home and slowly change your outfits when going out to work or study. It’s all a matter of adapting yourself to your new outfits and lifestyle, which brings us to our next topic.
5. Expand your wardrobe
Being trans often mean that you’ll have to change your wardrobe fully. It’s time to get rid of all the stuff from your closet that reminds you of your “Dead self.” If you’re non-binary, it’s okay to keep them if you like them, but binary trans people may prefer to do the opposite. But it also means that you’ll have to buy new clothes to replace the old stuff. If you came out recently, start gradually, as not everyone can afford a new wardrobe all of a sudden. Keep using the more neutral stuff you have for everyday affairs while gathering new outfits for different purposes.
My advice is for you to start with underwear and comfortable clothes to wear at home since they are more affordable. Then, start to buy fancy clothes to go out on dates, to work, or to school, depending on your needs. Another good tip is to look at thrift stores since their products are cheaper and the profits may go to charity sometimes. Also, keep in mind that male and female outfits come in different sizes, females generally being smaller. So, if you’re a trans woman, try plus-size stores, like the stuff they sell is more likely to fit your frame.
6. Start transitioning
To transition from one gender to another is to make more durable changes to your presentation. It includes visual and sexual characteristics, and the goal is to make them match your inner gender identity. The initial process is hormone replacement therapy. It means trans people take hormones to change their characteristics. It includes skin texture, fat distribution, body hair, and even voice. In the case of trans women, hormones may help them develop natural breasts with time. But there’s much more to transitioning than just HRT. It includes many other medical and bureaucratic procedures to help you as well.
Take, for example, what we know as facial feminization surgery. It involves reshaping your nose and jawline to make it more feminine, and sometimes some changes in your cheeks, lips, nose, and forehead as well. Besides that, there’s also sex reassignment surgery that changes your genitals to match your gender identity. It is more common and easy to make in trans women, known as vaginoplasty. Things are more complicated for trans men, but they can get some realistic prosthetics.
Another thing worth explaining is the bureaucratic part I’ve mentioned. As a trans person, you’ll probably want to change your name and more than a few documents to match it. And we can count it as part of the transitioning process. It depends a lot on which country you are in, but most western countries will allow it. It takes a lot of time and effort, as many bureaucratic processes are out there. To make things faster, look up online what kind of documents you need to update your name and gender by official means. If you’re less than 18 years old, you may need permission from your parents or legal guardian. You may also have to take some new pictures, so be prepared!
It’s not rare for trans people to start out as cross-dressers. Many of us discovered our gender identities this way. What happens is that sometimes we aren’t prepared for the truth since no one expects to be trans. Once you come out, however, and get a proper therapy treatment, you’ll be able to accept and validate who you are. It is what makes you unique. You should embrace your Identity and try to be your true self, even if it requires you to transition altogether. Just don’t deny or forget who you are.

What memories do you still have of your crossdressing journey? For me, my first day of crossdressing was an experience that I will never forget. I was 13 years old and was getting interested in feminine clothing. So, one day, when my parents were out of the house, I decided to raid my mom’s closet.
I remember feeling so excited as I rummaged through my mom’s clothes. Just couldn’t believe that I was actually going to do it! I knew that crossdressing was something that I had always been interested in but hadn’t tried yet. But now that my parents were out of the house, I felt like I had the perfect opportunity to try it out.
I finally settled on a simple outfit: a white blouse, a black skirt, and a pair of heels. I remember feeling so grown up as I slipped into the heels. It made me feel sexy and confident. The rest, as they say, is history! But I’ll tell you more about it.
1. The excitement of buying my first piece of clothing
This is one of the memories that I will always cherish. I remember the feeling of excitement when I was finally able to buy my first piece of clothing. It was like a dream come true.
I had just finished high school, and I had started working at a clothing store. I had always loved dresses, but I never had the chance to wear them because I was afraid. One day, I saw the most beautiful dress in the store, and I knew that I had to have it. I didn’t care about the price tag. So, purchased it.
It fit me perfectly, and I felt like a million dollars. That’s when I realized that crossdressing was something that made me feel really good about myself. Since then, I wanted to be a crossdressing sister.
The experience was so exciting that it made me want to buy more clothes and experiment with my style. I expressed myself in a way that felt true to me. And I loved every minute of it!
Of course, I didn’t break the news to anyone at that moment. I knew that I had to keep it a secret for a little while longer. But the feeling of finally being able to be myself was exhilarating. And I knew that there was no turning back now.
I even remember bumping into one of my classmates, and she was also getting some dresses in the same store. I lied that I was just helping my sister pick out a dress. She noticed the dress looked larger for my sister. And for a moment, I thought she was going to expose me. But thankfully, she didn’t, and the secret was still safe.
Eventually, I did come out to my family and friends as crossdresser. And they were all very supportive of me. But that experience of buying my first piece of clothing will always be a special memory for me. Because it was the moment when I finally allowed myself to be who I really am. And I am so grateful for that.
2. The thrill of trying on new clothes and makeup
Another one of my favorite memories is the thrill of trying on new clothes and makeup. I remember when I first put on a dress. It was so different from anything I had ever worn before. I felt like a princess, and I loved it. Since then, I’ve always enjoyed dressing up and experimenting with different styles.
Liked I mentioned earlier, the first time I tried feminine clothes was back when I was 13 years. It was a day when my parents were away, and I decided to raid my mom’s closet. For sure I knew if she found out, she would be so mad, but I just couldn’t resist.
I put on one of her dresses and a pair of her high heels, and I felt like a completely different person. I felt so feminine and beautiful.
Since then, I’ve always enjoyed dressing up and experimenting with different styles. I love finding new clothes and makeup that make me feel good about myself. It’s always a fun adventure for me.
As for the makeup, I first tried it out when I was 17. I had been curious about it for a while, but I was too scared to try it. I didn’t want to look like a clown or something. But one day, I decided to just go for it.
I started with some simple things like foundation, mascara, and lipstick. I remember feeling so good about myself when I saw how my face looked with makeup on.
Since then, I’ve always enjoyed wearing makeup and trying new looks.
3. The anxiety of going out in public for the first time as a crossdresser
Of course, not every memory is a happy one. I also remember the anxiety of going out in public for the first time as a closet queen. I was so scared that someone would recognize me and make fun of me.
But I didn’t let that stop me. I knew that I had to be true to myself, and so I went out in public anyway. And you know what? It was actually really liberating. I felt like I could be myself for the first time in my life.
It was a sunny morning, and I remember feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin as I walked down the street. I felt so alive and free. And I realized that this was just the beginning of my journey. There was so much more to discover about myself, and I was excited to explore it all.
Now, looking back, I can see that that moment was a turning point in my life. It was the moment when I realized that I could be myself, no matter what others might think or say. And it was also the moment when I decided to start living my life for myself instead of trying to please others. Felt scary, but was worth it.
4. The joy of feeling beautiful and feminine
This is one of the memories that haven’t escaped my mind. Although I had been crossdressing for a while, there came a time when I felt extremely beautiful and feminine. It was a strange yet wonderful feeling.
I had been out shopping for clothes with my sister, and we ended up in a lingerie store. I had never really thought about lingerie before, but something about the pretty lace and satin caught my eye. My sister was picking out some things for herself, so I decided to browse the racks as well.
I found a slip that was just my size, and it was such a pretty shade of pink. I had to try it out. As soon as I slipped it over my head, I felt different. It was like I had transformed entirely. I felt beautiful and feminine, and I loved it.
I ended up buying the slip. But being a “man”, I was too embarrassed to wear it in public. So, I would only put it on when I was home alone. I would parade around my apartment, feeling like the queen of the world. It was wonderful.
5. The courage to come out to my friends and family
The first time I gathered up the courage to come out to my friends and family was honestly one of the most terrifying but also liberating moments of my life. I was scared that they would reject me or that they wouldn’t understand.
It felt great to be able to be myself around the people I love, and I’m so grateful that they accept me for who I am. This moment gave me the strength to continue living my life as a crossdresser, and I’m so thankful for that.
6. The peace of being accepted for who I am
When my family finally accepted me as a crossdresser, that was a moment I will never forget. I had informed my sister about my feelings toward crossdressing, and she didn’t seem quite pleased at first.
Being her only brother, I guess she was worried about what other people might say or think. But my family accepted me for who I am. It was the best feeling in the world.
My dad was also reluctant at first. He would ask me why I wanted to crossdress and if I was sure that this was what I wanted to do. I think he was just worried about me and didn’t want me to get made fun of by other people.
The memories of my crossdressing journey remain etched on my mind. Every time I dress up, I feel an immense sense of joy and satisfaction. Crossdressing has helped me become more confident and comfortable in my own skin.
It all started when I was just a little boy. I would always sneak into my mother’s closet to try on her clothes. I loved the way they made me feel feminine and pretty. As I grew older, I began to experiment with makeup and hairstyles. I loved transforming myself into a beautiful woman.
All the first-time memories are crystal clear, and I treasure them to date. Which memories of your crossdressing do you like to share?
